SEBA conducted the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Class 10th examination from 3rd March to 1st April 2023 at hundreds of prescribed test centers across Assam. Over 4 lakh registered candidates appeared in the examination which was conducted in an offline mode.

In the Assam Class 10 exams this year, 415,324 students took the exam. Out of them, 301,880 students passed. The pass percentage for all students is 72.69%. For boys, the pass percentage is 74.71%, and for girls, it is 70.96%. So, the boys outshine the girls this year and there is a significant improvement in the overall passing percentage.
In the Assam Class 10 exams last year, 405,582 students took the exam. The overall pass percentage was 56.49%. The pass percentage for boys was 58.80% and for girls, it was 54.49% in the Assam HSLC board result.
The Assam education minister declared the class 10th results via tweet which reads “HSLC 2023 results are out. 301880 out of 415324 (72.69%) candidates have passed. Congratulations to all of them. Unsuccessful candidates shouldn’t be disheartened. Start now preparing for the next exam.”
The candidates were required to score 33% of overall marks in each subject to be declared pass. Those failed subjects should now prepare for the Assam HSLC supplementary examination. The schedule for the supplementary exam will be announced soon and will be updated on the website.
