TATA IPL 2023 will kick off on 31 March 2023 when defending champions Gujrat Titans will face the Chennai Super Kings. The 16th edition of this marquee league will bring back the home and away format back to the business as the matches will be contested in 12 different venues.

IPL 2023 Schedule – Major Highlights
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the much-awaited Tata IPL 2023 schedule after a meeting on Friday 17 January 2023. Like last year, a total of 74 matches will be played at 12 different grounds which include Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati, and Dharamsala.
BCCI issued a statement along with the IPL Schedule 2023 saying “after staging IPL across Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad in the last edition, the 16th season of the IPL will revert to the home and away format, where all the teams will play 7 home games and 7 away games respectively in the league stage.”
Teams have been divided into two groups Group A: Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants and Group B: while Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans. A total of 18 double headers will be played among the teams.
