The Pokémon UNITE Championship 2023 includes the top teams from six regions with the likes of Brazil, Europe, Latin America – North, Latin America – South, North America, and Oceania. The teams with the highest CP qualified for the championship along with the winners of regional finals earned a spot in the championship.

In the tournament, 31 teams from around the world will fight each other for two days with all competing for a prize pool of $500,000. The Championship has two main stages the group stage and the Playoffs. In the first stage, the teams will be divided into eight groups and will compete against each other in a round-robin format.

Pokemon Unite World Championship 2023 Format & Schedule

The event will begin on 11 August 2023 with the group stage round and those who qualify for the Playoffs will compete against each other on 12 August 2023.

Group Stage Round

31 teams will be part of the round that will be contested in a round-robin format. All the matches in the stage will be played in a BO3 and the best performing teams from each group will qualify for Playoffs.

Playoffs Round

During the Playoffs stage, the matches will use a double-elimination format and all games will be best-of-3 series. In the Grand Finals, the format will be best-of-5 series with a bracket reset.

The prizes will be distributed from the prize pool of $500,000 USD. The best teams in the competition will be rewarded in the following way.

  • Runner-Up: $75,000
