The board conducted the class 10th examination from 13 February to 5 March 2024 in offline mode at hundreds of affiliated schools all across the Punjab state. The exams were held in a single shift from 11:00 AM to 2:15 PM in which nearly 3 lakh students took part.
To successfully pass the Class 10 Board exam, students must achieve at least 33% in each subject and in their overall aggregate score. Students who do not pass one or more subjects will need to take the PSEB supplementary exam 2024. The supplementary exams are usually held within a few months after the result announcement.
In 2023, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 97.54%. Girls excelled with a pass rate of 98.46% while boys achieved a rate of 96.73%. Pathankot district topped the state with a pass rate of 99.19%, whereas Barnala had the lowest rate at 95.96%.
