BCI conducted the AIBE 18th exam 2024 on 10 December 2023 at many exam centers across the country. The test included 100 multiple-choice questions that had topics from various law subjects. Each right answer adds 1 mark and the maximum score achievable is 100.
The provisional answer key was shared on 12 December 2023 and if anyone has any concerns, they could raise them from December 13 to midnight on December 20, 2023. The AIBE 18 exam final answer key was released on 21 March 2024.
BCI issued a official notification along with the results where they stated seven questions originally included in AIBE 18 have been omitted, resulting in a total of 93 questions being considered for the preparation of the results rather than the originally intended 100 questions.
To pass the exam, OBC and Open category candidates need a minimum of 45% marks while SC, ST, and disabled candidates require at least 40% marks. Those who meet these criteria will receive a Certificate of Practice (COP) from the Bar Council of India which allows them to practice law in India.
