As per the latest news, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the PSL 8 Schedule as the fans are gearing up for the new season. Pakistan Super League (PSL) is the premier league in the country and one of the best leagues in the world.

In an announcement earlier today, PCB chairman Najam Sethi release the dates and venues for the 8th edition PSL. The tournament will get underway on 13 February 2023 with defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face Multan Sultan in high octane clash at Multan Cricket Stadium.

There will be a total of 30 matches in the group stage and 4 teams out of 6 will qualify for the playoff round. A good number of international players from all across the globe have signed up for the event and fans expecting competitive matches as all the squads look strong.

PSL 8 Schedule 2023 Announcement Details

The PSL 8 first match will be played on 13 February 2023 and the opening ceremony will be held on the same day in Multan. The full schedule for games was announced today after the meeting. The chairman of PCB Najam Sethi hold a press conference where he shared all the information about the event.

Talking about this year’s PSL he told the press “Each of the six sides will enter the PSL 8 with lots at stake. Islamabad United will aim to become the most successful team with three titles, Lahore Qalandars will attempt to become the first side to win back-to-back titles and the remaining four teams will once again attempt to put a hand on the glittering silverware. This makes up for an exciting, enthralling, and entertaining 34-match tournament”.

He also requested fans to appear in big numbers by saying “Finally, I would request the passionate Pakistan cricket fans to back the PSL 8 by turning up in big numbers and showing their appreciation and support for not only their favorite teams and players but towards all other participants. May the best side lift the most prestigious Trophy of the Pakistan cricket calendar at the home of Pakistan cricket on 19 March”.
